Sector
Flooring, tile, doors, windows.
Where the duty gap is widest, and where a change of origin pays for itself fastest.
Building materials carry some of the heaviest China-origin duty exposure, and they are bought in volume against fixed project budgets. That combination is why most of our current work sits here.
What has to be verified
Dimensional tolerance, wear rating, moisture behaviour and finish consistency across production runs. A flooring lot that meets spec on the first pallet and drifts by the twentieth is a problem you discover on site, not at the port — so verification happens at origin, before shipment.
Origins we use
Vietnam and Indonesia for engineered and solid wood flooring, India and Thailand for tile and ceramic. Selection depends on the specification and the duty position, not on habit.
Where a switch usually fails
Not on price — on tolerance. A quotation that matches on paper and misses on a dimension costs more than the duty it saved. We qualify against your actual specification, including the parts of it that are usually left implicit.
