What has to be verified
Voltage and frequency for the US market, safety certification, energy labelling and the documentation that customs will actually ask for. A unit that works perfectly and cannot be entered is worth nothing.

Thailand and Vietnam for small domestic equipment, India for selected white goods. Certification status is confirmed at the manufacturer before an order is placed.
After-sales is a sourcing question
Spare parts availability and warranty handling are agreed as part of the supply arrangement, not left to be discovered by your first customer with a fault.
