In this family the specification is the product. Two cables of the same nominal section can differ in conductor purity, insulation rating and actual cross-section — and only one of them is safe.
What has to be verified
Conductor material and true cross-section, insulation temperature rating, and for solar equipment the certification of panels, inverters and storage. We verify against the standard, not against the supplier's datasheet.

Under-specification is the common failure
The most frequent problem in this family is not counterfeit goods — it is honest under-specification: material that meets a lower standard than the buyer assumed. Naming the standard in the purchase order is what prevents it.
